Itinerary Overview:
Arrival: Wednesday, May 7th, 2025
Arrive for a warm welcome, dinner at 6:30 pm, followed by an informal introduction to the retreat and the group.
Days 1-2 (May 8-9)
Rebozo for Birth: NaolĂ's Original and Traditional Mexican Techniques
In this workshop, you’ll be introduced to NaolĂ's original Rebozo techniques, refined over decades of experience in homebirths and assisting thousands of women in labor. These powerful tools are designed to soothe, relax, and empower birthing mothers, while also providing practical solutions for common childbirth challenges.
Topics covered will include:
- The essential role of the Rebozo in traditional midwifery
- How the Rebozo acts as an extension of the hands for support and relief
- Understanding the dynamic nature of birth and fetal positioning
- Techniques for correcting malpositions, such as breech or posterior babies
- Helping large babies, overcoming pelvic blockages, and more
- Using the Rebozo in labor to aid fetal descent and engagement
- Postpartum hemorrhage care and the use of Rebozo in the first days after birth
- Rebozo for baby care, easing colic, and supporting new parents

Days 3-4 (May 10-11)
Mexican Postpartum: The Ritual of Closing the Bones
In this deeply nourishing workshop, NaolĂ will guide you through the sacred traditions of Mexican postpartum care, designed to re-align, rejuvenate, and soothe the body and spirit after birth. This practice offers new mothers a chance to reconnect with themselves, offering physical and spiritual care as they re-enter the world after the sacred act of giving birth.
Topics include:
- The opening and closing of birth energies and their sequence
- Understanding the anatomical shifts of the pelvis and the body after birth
- Learning the steps of the traditional Closing the Bones ceremony
- Postpartum massage and herbal baths for physical and emotional healing
- The powerful benefits of the postpartum Temazcal (herbal steam bath)
- Herbal preparations and teas for postpartum care
- How to apply the Rebozo in the Closing the Bones ritual
- Understanding the critical first 40 days postpartum
This workshop is ideal for midwives, doulas, massage therapists, bodyworkers, and anyone wanting to offer more holistic care to mothers in their postpartum period.
We will cover three different approaches to transfering this ritural to your own practice by demonstrating in three different values, giving you valuable insight into how you can recreate it at home.
Program Conclusion: Monday, May 12th
The retreat concludes on the morning of Monday, May 12th, after breakfast. This final morning offers an opportunity to reflect, network, and continue building connections within the supportive community created throughout the event.

- Each attendee attending the rebozo workshop is required to have their own rebozo. A limited number will be available to purchase on site. - No refunds are offered. In the event of attendee needing to attend a birth or being unable to attend for any other reason, tickets can be transferred to someone else.
- In the unlikely event that Naoli is unwell and unable to attend, the workshops will be transferred to an online format as the soonest possible time and a partial refund will be given.
- In the unlikely event of major weather event/natural disaster making venues inaccessible, any outstanding days will be transferred to the online format.
